Thoughtfully handcrafted sourdough goods
This space is designed to offer a little comfort in the daily life. My desire is to nourish people through sourdough baked goods and to empower bakers with methods they can rely on in their own kitchens – and I’m sharing all I’ve learned along the way.
The story behind Lady Sourdough
Hi there, I’m Jessica – a mom of three boys who started baking sourdough at home during a season when life felt like it needed to slow down. After stepping away from my career to be home with my kids and help my son navigate severe eczema, I became deeply involved in researching nourishing food and the way it could support healing.
I wasn’t familiar with baking sourdough at all. In fact, my first attempt ended in frustration and a starter tossed straight into the trash. But with encouragement from a friend, a lot of trial and error, and more late nights than I can count, something finally clicked. Baking sourdough became a rhythm of my life, and out of the abundance, I couldn’t help but share loaves with friends, neighbors, and eventually host my first small bread drop from home.
Lady Sourdough has grown quietly from there, with floured hands and a grateful heart for the simple ingredients that bring people together and keep me present at home.
Romanticising the every day life...
And while I’d love to be baking sourdough in a flowy linen dress, windows open, and waiting for my real-life Mr. Darcy to wander by, most days look a little fuller than that! Filled with three energetic boys, flour-dusted counters, and the everyday rhythms of home I cherish deeply.
I’m a big foodie, a millennial with a soft spot for 90s nostalgia, and someone who genuinely loves sharing recipes and the little moments of daily life (and the occasional boy mom humor, too).
Lady Sourdough lives somewhere between those two worlds – the beauty of slow, old-world baking and the joy of building something meaningful right in the middle of everyday life.
